4th of July parade-2023
Join the fun this year at Burlington's annual 4th of July Parade celebration. Floats show local community patriotism and pride. Burlington is our town. Lets meet up at the parade and show IAB's presence. Let come come together and celebrate the festival with Dance and Music. Mar 27th 2022- IAB Volunteer Appreciation & Town election Meet & Greet
Hello IAB members,
As Spring is upon us in a few weeks, so is the town election season. The elections will be held on April 9, 2022. As part of the civic mission for Indian Americans for Burlington, we are hosting a Town Candidate meet and greet virtual event on March 27th , 1:30-4:00pm.
We would love to have you participate in this event where the town candidates are going to present their ideas and thoughts to our community. We will also have an open questions/answer forum to address any of your town concerns. Please scan the QR code in the flyer to register for this free event.

Due to the rapidly growing concerns on Coronavirus (COVID – 19) and for the health and safety of the community we have cancelled this event.
This was a highly anticipated event within the community, but the health & safety of our community comes first.
We look forward to determining a new date once the situation gets better and normalcy returns.
Until then, stay AWARE, stay SAFE & keep others safe too.

4th July 2019 - THE BURLINGTON 4TH OF JULY PARADE!
That fun time is here again! Burlington’s Annual 4th of July Parade is on Thursday, July 4. This parade is growing more colorful and festive with each passing year! Marching Bands, Fife and Drum Units, Antique Cars, Honor Guards, Horses, Motorcycle Clubs, Fire and Police participation and Floats.
Floats show local community patriotism and pride. Burlington is your town. Lets meet up at the parade and show IAB's presence along with other civic group, clubs, neighborhood groups and businesses!
After all, what better place to do this than marching or riding in a parade down the main street in your town?

30th September 2018 - IAB Diwali Celebration, in Burlington Commons
We made history last year by co-hosting the first ever Diwali extravaganza with the town of Burlington – this was the ‘first ever’ that a town in MA lit up their very own town Commons to commemorate an Indian festival!
Join us to continue the same spirit of festivity and start the festive season with great zeal at the Burlington Commons. There will be festive cultural performances, fun games, photo booth, food and other stalls to shop, and much more. , Street Play, Cultural program and many more.

May5th 2018 – COLLEGE ADMISSION SEMINAR
IAB will host an interactive seminar that addresses the needs of both long term (children in Elementary and Middle school) and short term (children in high school) planning for college admissions. The discussion will be led by Dr. Anil Saigal, Professor, Tufts University.

15th Oct 2017 IAB Diwali Celebration, in Burlington Commons
With great pleasure ,IAB team invites you and your family to celebrate the festival of lights - DIWALI on Oct 15th at 3PM - 7PM in Burlington town common. It is the very first time in our town, Diwali will be celebrated in open ground at the Burlington town common . Don't miss this historical moment!!
Lets celebrate this festive season and start the new year off with :
- Sweets and Delicious food from Chettinad Grill
- Enjoy the Diwali Home ambiance in the Gazebo with rangolis ,Henna and Diyas.
- Amazing performances by Kids and youth.

‘The story of Deepawali - Ram Leela style Street Play . Directed by the Talented duo Tanu and Madhupurna .

IAB Holiday Party 2016
The Indian Americans for Burlington (IAB) held their annual Diwali party on Nov. 13 at the new Royal Tavern restaurant in Billerica, MA. This new organization was formed to allow Indian Americans to contribute in positive ways to make the Burlington community stronger. The organizers invited John Petrin (town administrator) Selectman Chris Hartling and School Committee member Martha Simon and officer Rameez Gandevia to join the celebrations and in an effort to get to know the town people.
The out going President announced the new team for IAB. Menka Jethra will be the new President. Other committee members include Gini Pookottil, Indra Deb, Satya Prasad, Sheetal Bammar, Dinesh Tanna, Anil Saigal and Ram Voruganti. The evening ended with great food by Chettinad grill and a dance party led by DJ Ronak Kapadia. The floor rocked and it was clear everyone had a great time.

Burlington High School Scholarship Fund , June 2, 2016, 7 – 9 PM :
IAB is proud to announce that this year the organization will be increasing its contribution to the Burlington High School Scholarship Fund. IAB has committed to contribute $1000 to the Scholarship Fund for the graduating seniors this year. The $1000 sponsorship will fund two title awards of $500 each as mentioned below:
1. IAB Student Volunteer of the Year Award is IAB's way of honoring students who embody the volunteer spirit IAB.
2. IAB Girls pursuingSTEM Award - this award is IAB's way of honoring and encouraging girls seeking to pursue STEM education.
At IAB, we believe "education is the key to success. By contributing to the Burlington High School Scholarship Fund we hope to make a difference in a few students’ lives by easing the burden of college costs and inspiring them to pursue their dreams and work towards their goals.
This is the second year IAB has contributed to the BHS Scholarship Fund. In 2015, IAB contributed $400.00 and this year, the contribution has more than doubled. We are thankful to all the IAB members and well-wishers who donated time and money towards this year’s scholarship sponsorship.
The BHS Scholarship Awards night is scheduled for June 2, 2016, 7 – 9 PM at Burlington High School. For details see the calendar on the BHS Website.

Burlington Health Expo May 7th - 10AM to 1PM
The Burlington Board of Health will be hosting their second annual Burlington Community Health Fair on Saturday, May 7 from 10 am- 1 pm at the Burlington High School Gymnasium. The Health Fair is sponsored by Lahey Hospital and Medical Center and will provide an excellent opportunity for residents to discover the health and wellness services available in their community.
IAB would like to invite all our members with their family and friends.
The health fair will include ove...r 30 exhibitors covering a wide range of health and wellness services for people of all ages. There will be educational information, health screenings, fitness demonstrations, chair massages, and other wellness services. Educational information will be provided on nutrition, food safety, gardening, fire safety, poison prevention, and other social services. Health screenings will include blood pressure, body mass index, facial sun damage, digital spinal screenings, and balance assessment. Fitness and group exercise and cooking demonstrations will be conducted. All screenings and services are provided free.
